A few years ago, I wrote an article called “I am a Woman and I am in Leadership.

There are many ways to describe Leadership. Just like how we define our success, but Leadership is the state or position of being a leader. (Dictionary.com, 2024)

When we discuss leadership, we have to discuss all aspects. Leadership is lonely, but can be rewarding. Leadership is powerful, but can be destructive. Leadership can create a lot of personal loss, but can gain great rewards.

I’ve been an Entrepreneur for more than half of my life. Each level brought a different type of leadership. Each level brought new challenges that only a certain type of leadership can handle. I’ve learned each type with more to go.

What does it take to be a great leader?

Leadership requires resilience. Leadership requires sacrifice.

My success comes from a lot of sacrifice at the beginning and resilience there after.

I’ve sacrificed family, relationships, and even opportunities to accomplish my personal goals. I speak on the things I’ve gone through behind the scenes throughout my career not only as a leader, but specifically being a woman in leadership.
