I’m currently training for my next Marathon. Being a #bicoastal New Yorker, I’m training on the West Coast. My latest #marathon was the @911memorial in New York City. I finished in less than 30 minutes.

At this time, @myekajohnsoninc is going through a massive layoff. We are laying off majority of staff due to overspending and not meeting specific goals. As the CEO, I hate wasting time and money. The best thing to do in this type of situation is to make the best decision for your company at the time being. Regroup. Give yourself and your team a variety of ideas to implement, but not execute. Discuss each idea throughly (take your time with this one). Decide as a team, which idea could land the company back on its feet. Execute the idea.

What should you be prepared for when laying off employees:

1) Employees’ emotional decision making.

2) Questions based on fear and uncertainty.

3) Your company’s decrease in #trust #accredibilty #support and #loyalty.
