Why Your Recovery Is Their Enemy

Healing is the most refreshing thing. You discover a new you. A new person. The real you. You begin to think differently and see things in reality of how things are meant to be. Without healing, we sometimes view things at a secure view of how we want things to be because it protects up from the pain and reality.

I recently completed a Fall/Winter solo trip. I drove West, across the country to Colorado. Along the way, I connected with family members and old friends. Many of them, I haven’t seen or spoken to in years. In my last blog post, https://myekajohnsonincblog.com/2021/09/23/my-six-month-solo-trip-and-what-it-taught-me/, I discussed the things I discovered about myself and those around me. This trip was more intense in perspective of maturing in every aspect of my life.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in to stop looking back. Stop trying to go back to your comfort zone or the familiar when you feel stuck, uncomfortable, or fearful of what’s of what’s next . When we are in uncomfortable circumstances, we tend to want to go back to confront to not feel the discomfort. Uncomfortabilty pushes us to pay attention to ourselves and things around us so we can take a closer look. There is a reason why you’ve heard many married or divorced people say you should get to know someone in every season before you decided to spend the rest of your life with them. It’s works the same way when you are ready to go to the next level in your lives. Good will put you in an uncomfortable position to not only test you, but yo should you what you need to let go of or change about yourself.
